DEER and BLACK BEAR HUNTS
#1 Whitetail Deer Hunts are 5 1/2 days, hunters arrive on
a Sunday approximately 2 pm and leave the following Saturday at 12:00 noon;
price is $4950.00 US.plus government license ( approx. $375.00 )price includes
government tax.New for 2017 we will be offering
a #2 Trophy Hunt is a 7 day Hunt in a exclusive area of
our approximately161,000 acres hunting area tentative price is
$5950.00 US plus government license . We require a
$1000.00 deposit on deer hunts which is refundable if spot is filled prior
the hunt.Most hunters fly to Saskatoon on Saturday stay over at one of the hotels close
to the airport , this is a good idea in case luggage is late also enables last minute
pickups Cabella's and Sportsman WholeSale are near the airport if needed we ask
clients to rent a car either at the airport or Hotel allowing hunters the freedom to
tour the area and come and go at will Saskatoon is a beautiful city with
plenty of shops to enhance your hunt trip.Pickup from your hotel is also an option
arrangements should be made early .
Your stay will be at our 4200 sq ft lodge built adjacent to the
hunting area we do have some individual rooms how ever most are
doubles( 2 beds to a room ).After your arrival at camp and you have
unpacked and settled in we give you the oppurtunity to check and site in
your fire arms at a local shooting range which is followed by a hot meal and a casual
meeting and orientation as far as the rules and regulations of the land
and agenda for the next day / week . The next day
starts at approximately 6:00 am with a good breakfast and a packed lunch for
your stay in a stand or ground blind until approximately 5:30 pm followed by a hot meal ,
hot shower and some chat regarding what you've seen that day. Your trip into the tree
stand or ground blind will be a short four wheeler trip that you might be asked to
drive following your guide or a truck ride plus a short 4 wheeler ride to your
stand or blind we will be hunting an area approximately 69,120
acres . We do recommend bringing your cell
phone with international roaming capablity to better stay in touch with
guides and camp.
Our tree stands are usually 12 � 16 ft high,ground
blinds might be 75 � 150 yds away from baits, depending on the weapon used
(rifle/bow) also what ever is most comfortable . Heaters are also available if needed
,some of our blinds are enclosed so heaters do work well .We also have
cell phone service so we do stay in touch, your comfort and safety comes
Bear hunts are $2950.00 US plus
government license ( approx. $175.00 )government taxes are included , 5
day hunts. We require a $1000.00 deposit on bear hunts, which is refundable if
the spot is filled prior to the hunt. Again we encourage "let them go let them grow "
minimum 17 " skulls but no penalty levy so if your happy so are we
Saskatchewan laws allow us to hunt over baits usually in tree stands 16 ft high or
ground blinds 75-100 yds away, allowing us to observe the animal (s) prior to harvesting
plus making the right choice , video cameras are a must .We are fortunate
to have difference color phases such as blonde , brown ,cinnmon and black with white V
chest. White or blaze orange jackets or vests along with red or
blaze orange cap must be worn with rifle hunts camouflage can be
worn with archery or black powder rifle. (Slug shot gun considered rifle).
We like to hunt bears mid May and early June to avoid too many
black flies and mosquitoes also the bear hides are not rubbed we do
fall hunts starting mid Sept when the bears are usually larger
since they have been gaining weight all summer.Prices include lodging, guide fees and
all transportation while hunting. Tips for guides and camp help are at the hunter's
discretion and are greatly appreciated.
All meat from harvested animals is kept in our meat
locker building and distributed to local people mainly seniors and families.
We / guides do all the skinning etc
preparation for transport home or to the Taxdermy.
Choice of dates in the order of the deposits received.
The best way to keep a particular date for future years is to put a deposit down for those
future hunts as early as possible.
